I had the girls write out where they saw themselves in 10 years and thought I'd be entertaining to do the same. I know God's plans are WAY cooler than mine...so I'm posting this now so I can laugh much later about it as to how far off I was. : ) Here are a few....Enjoy!
- I'll be 10 years older
- Married to someone crazy about Jesus, missions, orphans, camp, worship, and trees...you get the jist!
- Have 4-6 Adopted children
- Teach my children / others how to love and serve God / lead them to Christ
- Done some serious traveling
- Co-Director of...something that looks like a camp/orphanage/foster care center
- Foundation / Organization to better network missionaries with people
who desire to volunteer / donate funds / provide for basic needs
- Niece Sofie will be 10 years old and in 4th grade...eek!
- Have more "stuff" off my bucket list
- Debt-free
- More gray hair...and lovin' it
- Eating Healthier
- Even more in love with Jesus
- Living in a Foreign Country???
Just one more country to explore...Heaven. In the meantime...I'll see what this place called earth has to offer.

Tough Love is...TOUGH!
When parents say the comment...this is going to hurt you more than it hurts me...I think I'm starting to get that now. Praying for wisdom in how to love someone in a way that will point them to Christ and show them that Jesus has something better for them. That hurting is ok but hurting others is not.
I am weary but thankful that Jesus knows my every need and weakness and that we really truly can take things to Him...always.

Trust
Trusting God is like letting a roommate cut your hair. You're not exactly sure how it'll turn out but you know it will be a great story to talk about later!!!

Mary Poppins ain't got nothin' on me
Grateful that I am perfectly flawed and God can use imperfections to shine through the darkness of peoples gook. Wouldn't it be cool if more folks got over their fear of failure and just went for it...encouraged others or dared to notice?
You might be a House Mom if...make-up horror stories are shared, sparkle ties can be appreciated, and impromptu meals can be a new kind of exciting...God you WILD!
Woo-dat the African American owl???
Napkin Man
It's been awhile since I've actually updated about New Zealand...right now it seems like God is pleasantly distracting me with life/ministry and Himself which I am very ok with. TV what? Some funds have been coming in Thank ya Jesus..God has been doing a cool thing in "distracting" and not having me freak out about funding and focus more on just...HUMANS..which He seems to dig anyway!
Read this Graceling series recently not christian in nature but reminded me of spiritual gifts and the importance of using them...encouraging.

Toilet Plunger Glee!
You might be a House Mom if buying a Toilet Plunger causes the house to erupt with joy and giggles spread as one of the kids sticks it on his moms' back to see if it sticks...it does!
