PRAYER = GOOD

So....its been awhile since I updated as in I haven't really been sure HOW to update.  I'm still working for the after-school program things are going fine there.  We've got a fun program lined-up for this upcoming year.

The homeless shelter I was working at (the live-in position) closed July 2.  Kind of ironic to be working for a homeless shelter and to then find yourself homeless in theory.  I've been commuting 1.5 hours one way to my parents place Monday-Thursday for my after-school job.  This sorta works for the summer but is killing me in gas and won't be practical or super safe for the fall/winter...snow/animals.  "Shikira" the car has had some hiccups as well....my air conditioning doesn't work so I've had to borrow my mom's ride which I affectionately call "Black Beauty".

I am looking for some sort of live-in situation...maybe someone's cabin or a room to rent very cheap from now till February when I head to New Zealand.  I am praying whether or not to still get a part-time job so I can save for the trip and pay down my debts...it would have to be on the weekends and may be tricky to find with leaving in a few months.

I feel a bit like a deer caught in the headlights but God's refinement has been teaching me so very much during this crazy time.

Jumble for Jesus rummage sale raised over $1,000 for my trip AND a generous donation from my church covered my Lecture Fees for NZ meaning my spot is officially secured.  YWAM will allow me to come with this amount raised but the goal is to raise my Outreach fees before arriving in New Zealand.  Still have quite a ways to go.

The Brat Fry July 6 (tomorrow) was canceled due to Extreme Heat...it was 107* in Wautoma today!  Ouch.

Had a blast up north last weekend with family and baby Sofie my cute little redhead of a neice.

Headed to Lifefest Christian Music Festival next week for some R and R, encouragement, and a chance to take a breather, pray, refocus, and seek Jesus about what on earth He's doing.

Would LOVE your prayers, scripture or words of encouragement that comes to mind.  Trusting God and taking one step at a time until He shows me otherwise.
